"Learn and Recover Castles in Europe"

Fundacja "Zamek Chudów" w latach 2005-2006 wspólnie z zamkiem Cimburk (Czechy), zamkiem Lietava (Słowacja) i zamkiem Ursino (Włochy) realizowała program "Learn and Recover Castles in Europe", który otrzymał dofinansowanie w ramach programu CULTURE 2000.

W ramach projektu zorganizowano między innymi warsztaty dla wolontariuszy, w celu przedstawienia i nauczenia technik konserwacji zabytków, ze specjalnym uwzględnieniem stabilizacji i konserwacji murów.

Description: The project proposes the following activities in the field of preservation of monuments and European cultural heritage: workshops to exchange experiences at an international level and experimenting with new technologies; final conference where pilot workshops will be assessed and a large scale discussion will take place; training in the form of seminars on the topic of preservation of monuments and European history; public education. The activities will take place in castles in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland.
Objectives: The aims of the project are: to draw attention to the existence of sights and monuments as a significant part of cultural heritage of EU citizens and to involve their wide spectrum in activities leading to their rescue and preservation; to promote intercultural dialogue and an intenational exchange/knowledge of experience in the field; to support employment, international tourism; to provide longterm organisational backup for longterm sustainable development.
